GSM Circular Cutter designed specifically to cut a precise 100cm² (diameter 113mm) out circular specimen is used together with a high-precision Fabric Weight Balance to provide an accurate and easy for determining fabric weight in GRAMS per SQUARE METER (g/m²) or OUNCES per SQUARE YARD (oz/yd²) in off-shore markets.  A specimen of 100cm² is cut and placed on the balance which is switchable from g/m² to oz/yd².

• All cabinets are supplied with the interior colour Munsell Grey N7 meeting the international standard. Its reflective rate is lower than the incident light by one-third.
• Illumination levels of light source range from 750-3200 lux.
• With multiple light sources, it can be used to detect Metamerism where two coloured materials visually match under one illuminant but mismatch under another.
• 4 light source, 5 light source, 6 light source and 7 light source assessment cabinets are available and the light sources include D65, TL84, U30, CWF, UV, FA and INCa.
• All light sources are from reliable lighting manufacturers such as GretagMacbeth from Canada, GE from the US, Philips from Holland, Osram / Sylvania from France.  Approved by IEC, they meet major international standard for visual colour evaluation.
